Social Services

The Jena Band of Choctaw Indians Social Services Department.

Our mission/vision statement is to provide the highest quality of services and benefits to our tribal members to enhance their economic, mental, and social well-being.  The Social Services Department provides members and other eligible persons with services such as domestic counseling, psychological evaluations as well as individual and family counseling and intervention.  We work in conjunction with DCSF (Department of Children and Family Services), advocate within the court system, foster parents and children, provide counsel for private adoptions, and advocate within the local schools.

The Social Services Department works in conjunction with other tribal departments to provide children and youth activities such as the Annual CCHAT Champ (Choctaw Children Heritage and Traditional), education trips, and weekend retreats to build character, integrity, leadership, and social skills in our children and youth.
